19th century Swedish Gustavian deep seated bench with back, crafted in pine. The bench features simple curved arms and four front cabriolet feet with carved detail along the scalloped skirt, giving this settee a graceful and classic Swedish look. The pale gray and antique white layered painted finish is relatively new, yet suits the age and style of the bench well. The light gray linen upholstered fabric is also new and is simply stapled to the cushion, giving the buyer an idea of how the bench may look if they choose to add new upholstery. Seat height is 17 1/2 inches, and seat depth is 29 inches. A buyer may choose to create back cushions or bolsters to complete the look.
Restored strong, stable, and ready to use. Typical age related scratches and minor cracks do not impact function. Note this is not free standing as the back is not painted, etc.
