Pair of late 19th century display cabinets, crafted in walnut and veneer with pine interiors. Each cabinet is topped by a dramatic pediment crown flanked by two finials, and for a simpler, cleaner look, the decorative top features may be removed if desired. Three turned half columns flank the front of each cabinet, adding strong visual interest and architectural appeal. Each door features three glass panels, with one elongated central pane flanked by two square panes, creating beautiful display options. The interiors each hold three removable shelves. Original keys and locks still function. Both bookcases show wear, with cracking and distress to the veneer visible on each of the sides. One bookcase shows an old repair with filling to a long vertical crack or separation along the left side. The other display cabinet shows some veneer separation and a crack at the lower right door, along with a nick to the right corner. Age related separation at joints is also seen. Raised on simple bun feet. Stable and ready to use. Scuffs, scratches, stains, and nicks are seen throughout but do not impact function.
