The black finish complements the reserved serpentine curves in this large oak chest of four drawers resting on a scalloped skirt base.
A newer, black painted finish compliments the age and styling of this large dresser, slightly distressed to reveal the natural oak below which adds to the aged character.
This large chest is built in three sections; the case sections of two drawers each, both resting on a frame base with skirt and four feet. 
Each drawer had two large brass pulls. There is no functioning lock and key (key only for display).
Note in photos of top, aged-related separation is seen in the central panel which is slightly raised. This does not impact the ability to place items on the top, and buyer should be informed this is typical of 200 yr-old oak furniture. Similarly, age-related cracks and separation are seen in the drawer bottoms, many of which show old repairs with clean strips of wood. 
Restored, strong, stable and ready for use. All scratches, cracks(sides/top), dings, and age related separation (seen in drawer bottoms) are reflective of age and do not detract from the beauty nor function of this chest. Old repairs seen in back.
