Late 18th century Danish Baroque library table console, crafted in oak. This refectory table is raised on heavy Baroque legs resting on a trestle surround base, giving the piece a strong and grounded presence. Typical age related separation is seen along the top and inside the drawer. Additional signs of wear include cracks along the top, nicks, scratches, gouges and wear throughout, all reflective of generations of use. Signs of old wormhole activity are noted particularly in the base. Please note these are old, dried, and no longer active, and add to the authentic character of this console table that is over 200 years old. Restored, strong, stable, and ready for use.
