This early 19th Century Gustavian cartel wall clock was crafted by Cederlund of Stockholm with both gilded and painted wood. It features an eagle crest, fluted fan motif around a circular dial, stylized scrollwork, and a hand painted lower glass panel which portrays angels, birds and more. Gold gilt, burnished reds, blue and antique white tones all combine for a beautiful presentation. Note the small glass compartment directly under the clockface opens with a small pull to reveal petite storage or display.
Wood case is solid, stable and ready to hang. Clockworks do not function; any clockworks available will be shipped with the wall clock. Minor cracks, age-related separations are seen but do not impact the function nor appeal of this striking clock.
