Pair of 19th century Swedish Rococo armchairs, crafted in pine and finished in a newer black painted surface. The paint has been lightly distressed to reveal natural wood below, adding depth and character to this handsome pair. Exaggerated curved cabriolet legs and a turned stretcher base give the chairs a strong silhouette with plenty of visual appeal. The vintage leather seats show significant wear and distress, including crackling, old tears, and deep impressions to both seats which all adds to the aged character of the pair. The seats are compressed, and may benefit from additional upholstery padding underneath; buyer may choose to reupholster if they do not enjoy the worn leather look. Frames are restored strong, stable, and ready to use or reupholster.
