Late 18th Century Swedish White Gustavian Wedding Cabinet

Late 18th century Swedish wedding cabinet crafted in pine. The cabinet features a white painted finish that was applied later in its life but has aged over time and is lightly scraped, revealing the natural wood below. The distress to the surface adds both depth and warmth.
The upper cabinet doors open with original key (lock works but stiffly) and reveal a pale blue/gray painted interior that was applied more recently. Inside are two shelves and two interior drawers providing additional storage. A third upper shelf is curved and notched, which was originally used to display silver spoons and other serving utensils.
The lower section includes four drawers which all open with large brass pull handles.
The cabinet stands on curved cabriole feet. Cracks and age-related separation are visible along the back and crown, while nicks, cracks (along doors and elsewhere) and scrapes throughout reflect generations of use. The cabinet has been restored and is strong, stable, and ready for use. Old repair seen along back.
