Pair of 19th century Swedish Rococo armchairs, crafted in pine. Great Rococo curves accentuate the arms, cabriolet legs, and curved backs, giving this graceful pair strong decorative presence. The chairs have a newer professionally applied black painted finish that is lightly scraped and distressed, revealing warm pine below and adding to the aged character of the pair. Carved accents and detail are seen at the upper backs, along the curvaceous skirts, and throughout the legs. A simple vintage gray fabric covers the seats, and these could easily be reupholstered at the buyer’s discretion for an updated look. Please note one of the chairs has a scrape along the back revealing a touch of blue/green paint, indicating that may have been a prior color. Restored strong, stable, and ready for use. Scratches, nicks, and dings are reflective of age and do not impact function.
