Early 20th century Swedish Gustavian style console table, crafted in pine. The table stands on tapered fluted legs topped by small carved medallions, while decorative applied carving accents the skirt and adds graceful detail to the form. The piece has been given a newer professionally layered antique white painted finish with slight gray undertones. The finish is lightly distressed throughout to reveal natural wood below, adding character that suits the age and elegance of the table. A slight raised lip surrounds the top. Typical age related scratches, minor cracks, and small dings are present and reflect generations of use. Please note this is not a freestanding table, as the painted finish along the back was not completed, making it ideal for placement against a wall or behind a sofa. Restored strong, stable, and ready to use.
