19th century Danish Empire small chest of three drawers or nightstand, crafted in oak. The case has a gentle bow front that gives the piece a graceful and refined look in a compact scale. Delicate applied carving accents the upper, narrower drawer, adding understated decorative detail. The chest has been given a professionally applied layered gray painted finish with white undertones, lightly distressed to reveal natural wood below and create added depth and character. The old locks and keys currently function, and two keys are included. Minor scratches, small nicks, and cracks reflect generations of use. Restored strong, stable, and ready to use. A lovely small chest with useful storage and a classic form.
