Original hand-painted teal blue oak dome top trunk from Sweden. Traditional hand-painted details include lovely floral wreaths along front, flower filled vases and more along the top. Monogram of MND and date "1846" indicate this trunk may have been crafted to give as a dowry or wedding present.
Hand-wrought iron corners, straps, hinges and side handles. No lock nor key.
Restored and waxed, this heavy oak trunk is solid/stable and ready to be placed and enjoyed.
Signs of wear typical for age include nicks, scratches, cracks, age-related separation of wood along bottom, top, sides, etc. This wear does not impact the strength nor functional integrity of the trunk which is ready for use.
