Late 18th Century Danish Black Painted Oak Rococo Chest of Four Drawers

Late 18th century large Danish chest of four drawers, crafted in oak with a black painted finish. The four generously sized drawers have graceful Rococo curves and are each fitted with two large brass pulls. Carved front feet raise the chest and contribute to its tall, handsome, and stately appearance. Age related separation visible within the interior drawer bottoms was repaired at some point. Cracks, scratches, nicks, and other signs of wear are present along the top, sides, and drawer fronts, reflecting generations of use. The back is crafted in pine. Minor residual signs of old wormhole activity are also present but are dry, inactive, and do not affect function. Restored, stable, and ready to use.
