19th Century Swedish Original Hand-Painted Pine Sideboard Buffet Cabinet

19th century Swedish sideboard, crafted in pine with remnants of its original hand-painted finish. Generations of wear have exposed much of the natural wood beneath, creating a soft, layered patina with scraped and distressed areas revealing multiple residual colors. The carved lower skirt is primarily green, while the two cabinet doors retain areas of gray and white with faint touches of green and blue.

A single upper drawer provides additional storage and has a newer pink painted interior. Age related separation is visible between the planks of the drawer bottom. The two cabinet doors open to reveal an interior with a newer antique white painted finish and blue-gray undertones. The left door is secured with its original metal latch, while the considerably aged original lock on the right door still functions with the included key.

The upper rail appears to be old but may not be original to the sideboard. Age related separation is also visible along the back, including the sides and center planks. These signs of age contribute to the wonderfully timeworn character of this Swedish country piece.

Restored, strong, stable, and ready to use.
