This handsome baroque library table with one drawer has handsome turned legs and traditional stretchers between the legs. The lack of a front stretcher allows one to place a chair in order to use this as a writing table or desk.
The base has a newer, distressed blue painted finish which is complimented by a contrasting black top bordered in the same blue as the base.
The painted finish has been distressed revealing the natural wood below and fitting the age of the table, from the 1800's.
Look closely at the pine top, which reveals generations of use with visible cracks and nicks throughout, typical for its age and use.
Restored, strong, stable and ready to be placed and used.
All scratches, cracks (especially top), dings, and age related separation are reflective of age and do not detract from the appeal nor function of this console or writing table.
