Late 19th-century French oak sideboard, bleached to create a lighter, softened finish well suited for modern interiors. The original darker oak tone remains visible in the interior, offering contrast and depth. The unique configuration includes three cabinet doors and three drawers with long drop brass pulls.
Doors feature arched carved panels which open to reveal one interior shelf offering practical storage.
Two keys are included to lock and open the doors. Correct key must be used to open (especially the far right door).
The groove seen along top back was originally used to display family dishes and serving platters.
Typical age-related scratches and plank separation are visible along the top, consistent with the period and use. Additional cracks, scuffs, and nicks are age related and do not detract from the beauty or function of the piece. The sideboard is just under 9' long and has been restored, is stable, and ready for use.
