This antique rococo large oak chest of drawers features a serpentine front, brass hardware pulls and is raised on a carved skirt and cabriolet feet.
Note the rich patina of the dark oak wood. This dresser has been restored, case is sturdy and drawers are in working order. Two brass pulls and key cover are on each of the drawers.
While built in oak, the drawer sides and bottoms are made of pine, typical construction for this era. Each of the drawer bottoms show age-related separation of planks which will appear as cracks in the bottom but they are all still functional. FYI, the two "notches" seen along front/center of drawers were from former locks which are no longer present.
All scratches, cracks, dings, stains and age related separation (in top appears mainly as a "seam") are reflective of over 250 years of use and do not detract from the beauty nor function of this large oak chest of four drawers.
