One nightstand opens to left, the other to right, interior holds one shelf. Doors open with brass pull and snap in place. 
Restored, stable and waxed to bring out the natural warmth of the pine. 
All scratches, cracks (seen in photos), dings, dried old wormholes (no longer active) and age related separation (at seams, corners, etc.) are commensurate with age and do not detract from the beauty nor function of this delightful pair. Stains in bottom of  drawers.
