19th century large Swedish partners desk, crafted in pine with a newer antique white painted finish and pale gray undertones. The surface is lightly distressed throughout to reveal areas of natural wood beneath, giving the newer finish an appropriately aged appearance that complements the graceful Scandinavian form.

Four functional drawers are positioned on each side of the desk, providing eight drawers in total. Each opens with a brass ring pull, allowing the desk to be used comfortably from either side. Age-related separation appears in several of the drawer bottoms. Eight turned decorative legs add Gustavian-inspired character and support the substantial form.

The desk is constructed in three sections with a square central base and two additional leaves that attach beneath the tabletop with iron hooks. Typical age related separation is visible between some of the top planks, along with small cracks, nicks, scratches, and other signs of wear. Floor to skirt height measures approximately 24 1/4 inches.

The unusually generous size makes this an impressive partners desk, while its proportions also allow it to serve as a dining table. Do note that the overhang at the narrow ends measures approximately 1 1/2 inches.

Restored, stable, and ready for use. Drawers open with brass ring pulls, locks no longer function. Will ship in three sections.
