Large 19th century French breakfront display cabinet, crafted in oak and bleached to create a lighter finish with striking architectural presence. Measuring approximately 10 feet tall and 10 feet wide, this monumental cabinet offers substantial display and storage within an impressive French form.
The upper cabinet has four glass paneled doors accented by three turned columns. The doors open to reveal adjustable interior shelving, allowing the display space to be arranged for books, serving ware, collections, or decorative objects. The upper section was built to break down with crown, sides, back, doors, etc.
The lower sideboard is constructed as one long cabinet with two long drawers positioned above four paneled cabinet doors. Three additional turned columns accent the lower section, while the cabinet doors open to reveal a single interior shelf for additional storage.
Typical scuffs, nicks, cracks, stains, and other signs of age and use are visible throughout the oak, including along the breakfront surface. Restored, stable, and ready to use. The included keys should be used as pulls only.
