19th century Danish tall chest of six drawers, crafted in pine with a beautiful warm aged patina. This "highboy" has been given a wax finish that enhances the natural warmth and variation of the wood while preserving its simple Scandinavian country character.
Six drawers with dovetail joinery provide generous storage and function smoothly. Traditional front bun feet support the tall form, giving the chest a classic profile well suited to bedrooms, dressing areas, or other spaces where storage is needed within a relatively narrow footprint.
Minor cracks and scratches are visible throughout and reflect generations of use, including along the sides and upper drawer. Age related separation is visible at the top crown, and the top has a slight bow that is difficult to notice when viewed straight on. Minor old repairs are present along the lower trim just above the feet. At the right rear corner, a knot in the pine has fallen away, while several other knots were filled at an earlier point in time.
Restored, strong, stable, and ready to use.
