Pair of late 19th century Hungarian tall nightstands or small cabinets, crafted in pine with a warm patina developed through generations of use. Each cabinet has one upper drawer positioned above a single paneled door, creating useful storage within a narrow vertical form.
The drawers open with hanging brass pulls. Each cabinet door is also fitted with a brass pull and opens to reveal one interior shelf. The doors close with an interior snap mechanism and do not have functioning locks or keys.
Old cracks and scratches are visible throughout the pine and contribute to the rustic country character of the pair. Residual signs of old wormhole activity are also present but are dry and inactive. Additional cracks and age related separation are visible along the sides, lower trim and corners.
Restored, stable, and ready to use. The matching cabinets work well as tall nightstands or can be used to flank an other central piece.
