Late 18th century French armoire, crafted in oak with substantial decorative paneled doors and a simple rounded crown. Traditional wood peg construction rather than nails reflects the cabinet's early craftsmanship and long history.

The two doors open to reveal divided interior storage. The left side contains three shelves, while the right has four shelves with an additional upper half shelf. A metal fixture at the upper right could accommodate a hanging rod if the shelves beneath it are removed, allowing the interior to be adapted for hanging storage.

The left door is secured with an interior metal latch, while the right door retains a functioning lock and key. Two lower drawers open with large brass handles, and the left drawer contains interior dividers.

Cracking is visible along both sides and doors, with additional age related separation at joints within the carved paneling (see right door) and elsewhere throughout the armoire. At some point in its long history, the back and interior shelves were replaced. Old repairs are also visible along the lower trim.

Restored, stable, and ready to use.
