20th century Danish small chest of three drawers, crafted in pine with compact proportions ideal for use as a nightstand or bedside storage piece. A warm wax finish enhances the natural patina of the pine, while simple carved details give the chest understated Scandinavian country character.
A gentle curve accents the upper center, with a simple scalloped skirt below and curved front feet. Three drawers provide useful storage and are fitted with reproduction brass handles with lion head detail. The drawers may not close completely flush, but this does not impact their use or function. Middle drawer has missing section along lower front right corner which is sanded and smooth.
Age related separation between the planks is visible along the top and sides, with additional small cracks and nicks throughout. The back and drawer bottoms were replaced at an earlier point in time.
Restored, strong, stable, and ready to use.
