19th century Danish chest of four drawers, crafted in pine with a simple graduated form. The upper drawer is the smallest, while the middle 2 drawers are the same size ending in the larger bottom drawer, providing practical storage within a traditional Scandinavian design. Simple vertical carved details flank the three lower drawers, adding restrained decoration to the façade. Traditional front bun feet support the chest and complement its straightforward country form.
Minor cracks, scratches, stains, and nicks are visible throughout. An old repair is present at the upper left corner of the top drawer. The right side shows visible age related separation between the planks along with vertical cracking, all consistent with the chest's age and generations of use.
