This wonderful pine bench still retains the traditional folk art paint of the era, with simple floral motifs painted on an earth-toned base such as this one. Reflecting decades of use, the paint along the seat has been virtually worn away as well as sections along the front and throughout the bench. The hinged seat lifts to reveal a storage area that is sectioned in half. The entire bench is sturdy/solid, ready to be used and enjoyed. Any knicks, stains, cracks (see along the front, sides, seat) or age-related separation of wood (refer to side panel and interior bottom) are commesurate with age and do not impact the function/strength of the bench in any way.
