This handsome pair of original mid-century modern safari chairs were designed by Kaare Klint (1888-1954) in 1933 and manufactured at Rud Rasmussen's Carpentry. The vintage black leather is accented by original white stitching and has traditional reclining back and loose cushion seat over ash frame. Signs of wear include scuffs, stains, some dryness/crackles in leather (in particular the contrasting leather arms and straps). Note tear to one front strap with buckle. Seat height: 13 inches.
