This antique 12-drawer pine apothecary or old shop counter was used in a country store in Sweden in the mid to late 1800's.
As a free standing counter resting on bun feet, it will serve well as a modern kitchen island.
This sideboard has been given a professionally applied painted finish with layers of soft white and light gray. The top is a contrasting black, lightly distressed to fit the age and character of the apothecary.
Each of the 12 drawers has an interior of 14.25"w x 23.75"d x 5"h. One central drawer as a divider which can be removed upon the buyer's request.
Restored, this island is strong, stable and drawers function. It is ready to be used on a daily basis.
Any scratches, cracks, dings, or signs of wear are commensurate with age and do not detract from the beauty nor function of this lovely piece.
