This Gustavian sideboard has lovely traditional details such as the fluted carved diamonds in each door and drawer panel, tapered fluted feet and applied carved swag at upper corners.
The remarkable layerd blue/gray painted finish is newer and professionally applied, lightly distressed creating a grace to the buffet reflective of its age. The interior light brick red paint is older and shows aged stains.
Restored, this pine sideboard is ready for use and narrow enough to serves as a console as well. Two brass pulls are on each of the four drawers, and one key is used as pull only for the two side doors (locks no longer function).
Any scratches, cracks, dings, or age related separation are reflective of age and do not detract from the beauty nor function of this lovely piece.
