Pair, Blue Painted Gustavian Chest of Drawers With Greek Key Design, Sweden circa 1880

A pair of elegant Gustavian chest of drawers painted in shades of blue, fitting their Swedish origin. Note the decorative painted lions under top central keyhole.
Contrasting faux black painted top with gray specs and carved dentil molding.
Three drawers, upper drawer decorated with painted Greek key motif and additional darker accents around other drawers and side panels. 
Canted fluted side posts with upper carved diamond medallion. Raised on four tapered fluted feet.
Restored and ready for use, later professionally painted.
One key included in each top drawer to use as pull only. Two brass pulls are used to open each of the two lower drawers.
Any nicks, scratches, cracks, distress etc. is reflective of age and use and does not detract from the function nor elegant appeal of this striking pair of chests which may also serve as nightstands.
