While this clock dates to the mid 1800's, the date of 1787 painted in black was likely added at a later date.
The wood longcase is restored and waxed, solid and ready to be placed in home. Any original clock works remaining will be included with the long case but they are not in working condition. Many clients opt to install a battery function for ease of use.
All scratches, cracks, nicks, gouges, dings, and age related separation are reflective of age and do not detract from the beauty nor function of this lovely Swedish Mora grandfather clock.
