Original Painted Pine Swedish Cabinet Cupboard, circa 1820-40

This cabinet is a remarkable example of Swedish country craftsmanship and original folk art painting. The deep patina of the pine is a result of many generations of use and age.
The exquisite hand-painted blue panels are embellished with delicate flowers throughout, while the crown or bonnet is also a beautiful contrast to the warm pine of the cabinet body.
Please examine photos closely to appreciate the detailed painted finish against the deep patina of the pine. Under the top doors and above the bottom doors you will see the faint remains of monograms and/or dates, likely indicating this was originally a wedding or dowry present.
This cupboard has been restored so it is strong, stable and ready for use. All knicks, scratches, age-related separation of wood are a reflection of generations of use and do not detract from the beauty nor function of this lovely cabinet.
Please refer to professional photos for clear understanding of color, condition and details; photo lighting, individual monitor display and home lighting may all impact how item is viewed.
