This pine cabinet is a remarkable example of Swedish country craftsmanship and original folk art painting. The deep patina of the pine is a result of many generations of use and age.
The door panels and crown are embellished with hand painted details in earth tones including a church in the bottom door panel.
Please examine photos closely to appreciate the detailed painted finish against the deep patina of the pine. Under the top doors and you will note the functioning drawers which are only accessed if the cabinet doors are open.
This cupboard has been restored so it is strong, stable and ready for use. All knicks, scratches, age-related separation of wood are a reflection of generations of use and do not detract from the beauty nor function of this lovely cupboard. The upper door is secured closed by a metal latch. An interior metal clip has been added to secure the lower door as the lock no longer functions; this door is opened simply using fingers (no pull is attached).
Please refer to professional photos for clear understanding of color, condition and details; photo lighting, individual monitor display and home lighting may all impact how item is viewed.
