The newer, professionally applied antique white custom painted finish is perfectly distressed to fit the age and grace of this lovely pair of Gustavian chests. While difficult to see in photos, there is a faint faux grain or "veins" lightly painted on the front drawer panels.
Three functioning drawers, top opens with key used as pull (2 keys included), lower two drawers have two brass pulls each.
Any nicks, scratches, cracks, distress etc. is reflective of age and use and does not detract from the function nor elegant appeal of this striking pair of chests which may also serve as nightstands.
