Swedish mora grandfather clocks are identified by their gentle curves and classic style as seen in this exceptional longcase clock with simple vertical carving accenting the rounded body and floral carved embellishments around the face.
The original white painted finish has an aged patina, and has been gently scraped down to reveal very pale layers of blue with soft seafoam undertones and the natural wood below.
The original clock required the commissioning of 3 professionals; the carpenter, painter and clock professional who designed the clockworks, face and hands.
Any original clock works and pendulum remaining will be included with the long case but they are not in working condition. Many clients opt to add a battery function vs restoring the old works; we leave this to the discretion of buyer upon arrival.
The wood longcase is restored, solid and stable.
All scratches, cracks (see photos), dings, and age related separation (especially due to the curves and how this was crafted) are reflective of age and do not detract from the beauty of this lovely Mora grandfather clock.
Please refer to professional photos for clear understanding of color, condition and details; photo lighting, individual monitor display and home lighting may all impact how item is viewed.
