Original Painted Swedish Mora Grandfather Clock, circa 1840

Swedish mora grandfather clocks are noted by their gentle curves and classic style as seen in this tall and slender long case clock with simple lines and curvaceous skirt.
The original clock required the commissioning of 3 professionals; a carpenter, a painter and a clock professional who designed the clockworks, face and hands.
The original paint has been scraped creating an aged, warm patina to the finish revealing the natural pine below. Residual shades of soft beige, cream and white are still seen; please refer to photos for best understanding of the finish.
The original clockworks and pendulum remaining will be included with the long case but they are not in working condition. The long hour-hand is missing, however, if buyer chooses to restore or install a battery function it is likely that both hands would need to be replaced regardless.
The wood longcase is restored, solid and stable.
All scratches, cracks, dings, or age related separation are reflective of age and do not detract from the beauty nor function of this lovely clock.
Please refer to professional photos for clear understanding of color, condition and details; photo lighting, individual monitor display and home lighting may all impact how item is viewed.
