This impressive large ship model depicts the French vessel “La Sirene." This three-masted ship of the line “La Sirene" was in use 1691–1702.
Impressive in size and detail, this model is over 6.5' long and just over 6' tall.
Built of wood, metal and more, partly painted in black and white with red gun gates. The figurehead mast is in the form of a female mermaid.
Minimum 22 cannons included (not all were visible at time of photo shoot).
Late 19th century.
Condition: Wear due to age, including among others minor rust on and around metal pieces, minor breakage of ropes, foxing, few missing parts.
Solid and stable, all scratches, cracks, dings, missing pieces, etc. are reflective of age and do not detract from the attraction of this remarkable find.
