Pair, Blue Painted Gustavian Chest of Three Drawers, Sweden circa 1860-80

A pair of decorative Gustavian style pine chest of drawers painted in shades of blue, fitting their Swedish origin.
Three functioning drawers, upper molding decorated with carved Greek key "meander" motif.
Canted fluted side posts with upper carved medallion. Raised on four tapered fluted feet.
Restored and ready for use, later professionally painted in layered shades of blue, lightly distressed to fit the age and grace of the pair.
Two brass pulls on each drawer which do function.
All nicks, scratches, cracks, distress etc. is reflective of age and use and does not detract from the function nor elegant appeal of this striking pair of chests which may also serve as nightstands.
