The strong appeal of this rustic console table comes from the well-worn top reflecting generations of use.
It originally served as a work table, resulting in the aged dark patina with deep gouges, scrapes, dark stains, and old cracks. Age related separation of planks is seen in the top; at some point in time iron supports/bolts were added which adds an industrial feel to the  table as well.
This console table has been restored so it is strong and stable with a wax finish.
