Original small pine dome top trunk from Sweden with exquisite hand painted details including floral wreath along front and floral bouquet on lid. The monogram and date of 1827 indicate this trunk may have been for a dowry or wedding present.
Wrought iron side handles, black painted corners, no lock.
Restored and waxed, the deep aged patina of the warm pine reveals its age. 
Signs of wear typical for age include nicks, scratches, stains, various age related separation of wood along domed top, etc. This wear does not impact the strength nor functional integrity of the trunk which is ready for use.
All scratches, cracks, dings, and age related separation are reflective of age and do not detract from the beauty nor function of this special trunk.
